The government relaxed soft loan requirements for agricultural exporters

Agricultural enterprises that have concluded agreements on improving competitiveness will continue to use soft loans, even if they fail to fulfill their obligations to export products for 2020.

Agricultural enterprises that have entered into agreements on improving competitiveness will be able to continue to use soft loans in case of failure to fulfill obligations for the export of products for 2020. The corresponding decree was signed by the government of the Russian Federation.

"Agricultural enterprises that have concluded agreements on improving competitiveness will continue to use soft loans even if they fail to fulfill their export obligations for 2020. The Russian government approved this decision," the Cabinet’s press service said in a statement.

The agreement on improving competitiveness is one of the instruments within the framework of the federal project "Export of agricultural products" (part of the national project "International Cooperation and Export"). The agreement enables agricultural enterprises to receive soft loans for short-term and investment purposes in exchange for obligations to increase the export of agricultural goods.
